Today, he operates Gem Home and Cove in New York City. Gem Home, an extension of McGarry's interests in food, design and hospitality offers a diverse array of homewares, grocery items as well as a full service cafe. At night, Gem Home turns into an intimate event space with long oak tables built by McGarry. Cove is McGarry’s most ambitious project yet, a 75 seat restaurant showcasing peak season produce from local farms as well as exceptional and sustainably sourced seafood and other proteins. Cove offers a range of dining experiences with ala carte dining, a nightly set menu, a private dining room and a small daytime cafe opening in October.
